Talking Trash Translates into National Award for Stan State Communication Studies Major
Stan State communication studies major James Lane never expected his three-episode podcast Central Valley Trash Talk to win a national award. In fact, once he completed the time-consuming project focused on illegal roadside dumping, its causes and the cleanup efforts underway, he stopped thinking about it and started enjoying the extra downtime in his schedule.
Champions of the American Dream
Join Stanislaus State on May 3, 2022, for a fireside chat with the Champions of the American Dream 2022 honoree Marian Kaanon, president and CEO of Stanislaus Community Foundation.
"People can take many different paths to leadership, to entrepreneurship. I hope people are open to hearing a story of resilience and challenge, and yet of overcoming. I hope to see you there." - Marian Kaanon
Theatre Under the Stars Returns to Stan State
Stan State's Theatre Under the Stars is returning May 4, 5, 6 and 7 with "Much Ado About Nothing" by William Shakespeare.
Revised Face Covering Requirement
Stan State continues to require face coverings to be worn in instructional spaces, which includes any room within a building where an instructor, teaching assistant or staff member and one or more students are engaged in teaching, learning, research, creative/performing activities or advising. The face covering requirement is released in other indoor areas effective today.
While wearing face coverings indoors will no longer be required in many settings, we strongly encourage their use, as they are still a valuable tool in the fight against COVID-19, especially in large group settings.
