This Year, 2,998 Graduates and 373 Credential Recipients Will be Honored During Three Ceremonies
Turlock, CA (05/18/2023) — Stanislaus State will celebrate the Class of 2023 during Commencement ceremonies in the University Amphitheater Thursday, May 25, and Friday, May 26.
This year, 2,998 graduates and 373 credential recipients will be honored during three ceremonies. And, for the first time since 2019, graduates will march into the venue together during a procession, a tradition that returns after a four-year hiatus. This year's ceremonies will be the last with President Ellen Junn at the helm of the University. Junn, the first Korean-American woman to serve as president of a public four-year university in the United States, announced in January her plan to retire this summer after serving as Staniuslaus State's president for seven years and a 39-year career in higher education.
Media interested in covering Commencement are asked to register by noon Wednesday, May 24, by contacting Donna Birch Trahan.
